Editors Critique You

Authors wishing critique of their novel partials or short stories

1. REGISTER.  Once you have, you will be instructed to check your email.
2. You will be emailed a password.  Use it to login by either returning to the browser window where you registered or by using the link provided in the email.
3. LOGIN (link is about halfway down the right hand column)
4. Once you are logged in, you will see the Dashboard. It’s blue on top and the links you need are in the light blue stripe that runs horizontally under the Title and View site link. 
5. Change your password (optional) to something easier to remember if you so desire.  You can click user to change your password. The double input fields are at the bottom of the right hand column of your profile page.  Be sure to scroll down and click the button to SAVE your new settings.
6. WRITE: Click the Write link in the LIGHT BLUE NAVIGATION BAR that runs horizontally across the top of the page. That will open a window that has a message interface.
7. PASSWORD PROTECT: CLICK the cross on the blue tab on the right hand side (second one down) that says Password-Protect Post.  Type in a password of  your choice to make your post secret from the world.  YOU MUST PASSWORD PROTECT YOUR ENTRY. We are NOT responsible should you fail to follow these instructions. Failure to do so will allow anyone to read your manuscript.
8. Type a Title Subject
9. Type in the Post Body: In the post body, type in any specific questions you wish addressed in the critique.  If you have no specific questions, just introduce yourself to the editor.
10. UPLOAD YOUR FILE: (.rtf format please) Scroll down and upload your file, adding a title, byline (Story Title by Author Name) and a description or story blurb.  If you don’t have a story blurb, just type a short description about your story, such as: This story is about Dana and Lily finding a home.
11. SEND TO EDITOR: Once the file uploads, you will see a link to your file where the upload file window had been.  Left click that link and a drop down menu will appear.  Click the middle one that says Send to Editor. 
12. SAVE: Scroll back up to the buttons just below the post (message) body field. Click the Save button.
13. VIEW SITE, CHECK PASSWORD: Click the link at the top of the page beside the Editors Critique You title. The link is called View site.  That will take you to the front page where YOU SHOULD SEE A PASSWORD FIELD under your post heading. If you don’t see a PASSWORD FIELD, EDIT YOUR POST using the link provided just below your post, and go back and ADD A PASSWORD OF YOUR CHOICE.  SAVE YOUR CHANGES BY CLICKING THE SAVE BUTTON. You will be returned to the front page where you should see your password protected post.
14. PAY US: Click the appropriate link in the right hand column to pay for our services.
